Electronic Textile Camp (ETC) is a residency for creative practitioners working at the intersection of craft, textiles, and electronics to meet, make, and learn together.
Hosted annually at partner organizations, Electronic Textile Camp (formally known as E-Textile Spring break), is an artist run residency providing participants space, materials and community to explore the world of etextiles. Programming engages materials and tools across sewing, weaving, knitting, physical computing, computational inks and other disciplines. The program emphaszies documentation and knowledge sharing rather than the completion of a new project and the community aspect is central. Workshops are led by participants, an exhibit shares work with the broader public, and open-source principles guide the sharing of processes and projects online. Lodging and communal meals foster connection among the residency's creative community.
